Enhancement Notice from Manufacturer

In keeping with its policy of continuing improvement and innovation, Modempak is pleased

to announce the following enhancements to its product line.

Part 15130010 BT 2C Module & 67MM Square Faceplate from Batch 9.

Fixing screws now supplied with faceplate instead of backing box.

Improved backward compatibility with existing backing boxes.

Installer friendly screw retention.

Compatibility

Each faceplate is now supplied with 2 x screws suitable for new and existing

backing boxes. The screws are thread cutting and of the same diameter and

pitch as previous screws. (6-32 unc). The new screws are intended to tap

themselves into the newer style backing box and also into older style backing

boxes having threaded inserts. The screws may also be used with certain

independent backing boxes having suitable mounting holes.

The addition of the screws to the new faceplate instead of with the backing

box ensures that each new installation need not have ‘recycled’ old screws

thus improving the appearance to the end user.

Installer requests

In response to comments from installers, the recessed screw holes in the

faceplate have now screw retaining tabs moulded in. Screws, when pushed

through the tabs, are held in the faceplate which assists with installing in

awkward or confined spaces.

It should be noted that the tabs are essentially a use once feature and re-use

will have no effect upon the re-fitting of faceplates. Quality will not be affected.

This enhancement does not affect existing product before batch 9. All BT2C

Modules and faceplates are safe to use.
